X kicking holidays up a notch

You can't have Xmas without X, right?

Of course not, and so it's fitting that the rootsy L.A. punk forebears are hitting the road for a seasonal rock 'n' roll revue.

Holiday music is a lot like sobriety and the 40-hour workweek -- it gets old fast -- especially when you got the likes of Justin Bieber, Scott Weiland and Paul Anka recently dropping Christmas discs like Yuletide turds.

But X is here to save the day, and they're bringing along with them gospel duo Sean Wheeler and Zander Schloss and the ragin' The Black Tibetans.

Deck the halls, then deck a stranger.
