Rapper Danny Brown spitting rhymes at Tao
The Nuge must be pissed — and not just at Obama, vegetarians, liberals, pacifists, gun control advocates, tax collectors, etc.
The bat-poo-crazy guitarist is in danger of forfeiting his nickname, the Motor City Madman, to another dude doing his best to earn the tag.
What qualifies rapper Danny Brown for this prestigious handle?
Well, for starters, he raps of the kind of prodigious drug intake that has killed many a musician, and at times seems eager to join their company.
“Life is so sublime, goin’ out like Brad Nowell / I got that Kurt Cobain type of mind-frame,” Brown boasts on “Die Like a Rock Star” from his acclaimed 2012 disc “XXX.”
And then there’s the fervor that Brown inspires among certain members of his female fan base.
At a recent gig in Minneapolis, for instance, an eager lass jumped onstage, tugged his pants down and attempted to perform oral sex on him.
Thing is, though, Brown doesn’t need sensationalism to sell himself: His artfully unhinged, cartoon-voiced rhymes are far more attention-worthy.
