Origin ready to dominate Cheyenne Saloon

Origin's head-spinning death metal is as technical as the flight manual to a Boeing 747.

And the velocity of the band's repertoire rivals the speed of said craft in flight.

Dizzying appregios and speed-of-light blast beats give the band the forward momentum of a boulder tearing down a mountainside.

It's as intense as this kind of music gets, and on their current tour, fittingly dubbed Occupation Domination, Origin will be joined by similarly minded extreme metal boundary pushers.

There's San Diego vegan grind antagonists Cattle Decapitation, whose sound comes at you from all angles, like a sneak attack from an invading army, relentlessly frenetic and just plain overwhelming. Their latest disc, "Monument of Inhumanity," finds the group blending their overdriven onslaught with touches of melody, making songs such as "A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat" and "Projectile Ovulation" perfect for your next karaoke outing.

You could say the same thing about much of "Global Flatline," the excellent new album from Belgian death grind freak-a-zoids Aborted, who are also on the bill, along with California tech death brutes Decrepit Birth, Rings of Saturn and Embryonic Devourment, Midwestern thrash Hessians Battlecross and Vegas' Predatorial, Sicosis and Crucify the Enslaved.

It's gonna be a marathon of misanthropy.
