Fleetwood Mac returning to MGM Grand

Here’s a couple more stable in their breakup than many are in marriage.

Fleetwood Mac returns to the MGM Grand four years to the week since its last concert there, and more than 35 years since it became a pop powerhouse. Set lists from other stops on the tour make it sound as though Sunday’s show will proceed in a predictable order as well.

And predictability is no bad thing if you are depending on Stevie Nicks to bring the gypsy magic, and Lindsey Buckingham to be the live-wire, eccentric genius in those classic pop sagas full of tension and recrimination.

Although Christine McVie long ago gave up touring, the band is still anchored by its namesakes, Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie.

Reports from other cities have one new song “Sad Angel,” and one resurrected rarity, “Without You,” pacing the “Rumours” hits. And for those of you who still haven’t warmed up to that “Tusk” album in its entirety, they’ve revived a couple more tunes from that one for you to reconsider as well.
