Electric Daisy Carnival expands to China
Call it a match made in magnitude: The biggest dance music festival in the world is going to the biggest city in the world.
Electric Daisy Carnival, which draws over 400,000 fans annually to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for its flagship event, is expanding to Shanghai.
With a population of 24 million, the city is every bit as outsize as EDC itself.
Set to take place April 29 and 30 at Shanghai International Music Park in the heart of the city, EDC China will be the festival’s second Asia event after EDC Japan debuted last April.
It’ll further expand EDC’s international presence, which also includes events in Mexico, India and the United Kingdom.
Closer to home, EDC Vegas moves up a month this year, taking place May 18-20 with camping available for the first time.
