Dining Pick of the Week: Cafe V

Cafe V

Sun City Anthem, 2450 Hampton Road, 702-522-7200

Las Vegas resident and celebrity chef Vic Moea rebranded his restaurant from Vic’s New American Cuisine to Cafe V in August to provide customers with a more casual and affordable dining experience despite its being located in Anthem. The chef, known as “Vic Vegas,” has shared his talent and knowledge on television shows such as “Bar Rescue,” “Food Fighters” and “Chopped.” Although the menu and prices have changed, Moea’s high standards for food quality remain the same. Meals include the Western Burger (topped with cheddar, barbecue sauce, crispy onions, lettuce, tomato and onion) and a half rack of barbecue pork ribs served with green beans and a choice of baked or mashed potatoes, fries or rice. Steak, pasta and seafood entrees also are available, along with a soup and salad bar, appetizers and desserts. Dinner entrees range from $10.49 to $22.99. Cafe V also serves low-carbohydrate plates, such as a beef burger and grilled chicken breast or salmon with sliced tomatoes and a choice of fruit, green beans or cottage cheese. A children’s menu is available for diners age 10 or younger and includes spaghetti and meatballs, chicken strips and a grilled cheese sandwich for $6.99 or less. The food is paired with a spectacular view of the Las Vegas Valley, which makes for a memorable meal. Cafe V is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Happy hour is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. For more information, visit cafevlv.com.
