This week’s 5 best bets for dining in Las Vegas
Something new
If the Riviera isn’t on your schedule this summer — and we’re talking about the Italian or French Riviera, not the one on the Strip that recently was imploded — you can make believe by partaking of the new cocktail-pairing menu at Rivea at The Delano. Five cocktails have been created to pair with five of chef Alain Ducasse’s dishes, such as the Limoncello Baba, shown, paired with the Elegant, with dry and blanc vermouths, apricot and blanco tequila.
Family fun
Treat the family to an iconic Japanese steakhouse experience at the new Benihana at the Fashion Show Mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South. It has a sushi bar, cocktail lounge, outdoor patio and 18 teppanyaki tables, two of which seat parties up to 12. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, with happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays. Call 702-820-3080.
