Movie characters we want to vacation with
Here’s a selection of movie characters that would make any vacation even better.
Tony Stark — “Iron Man”
Let’s be honest. Who wouldn’t want to go on a vacation with Tony Stark? While it’s super cool that he is Iron Man, his alter ego seems to be just as exciting to be around.
With billions of dollars at his disposal, your list of destinations would be endless. It’s also a pretty good bet that Tony Stark has connections everywhere. With him by your side, you would be sure to have the inside scoop on all of the great local places wherever you go.
Let’s not forget his awesome sense of humor. With all those witty comebacks, you’ll spend most of your time with your sides split from laughing.
“Iron Man” is 97 percent worth your time and appropriate for ages 13+.
Clark Griswold — “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”
The entire Griswold clan is a hoot, but Clark is the best vacation pal there could possibly be.
Sure, things won’t go as planned, but what vacation does? Clark is a go- getter and nothing stops him from making sure everyone is having a good time, even if everything falls apart.
There might be moments of frustration and even an emotional outburst or two, but you’ll forget all that when you realize how great vacations can really be. At least with Clark around you are sure to have some great stories to tell when you get back.
With a bit of crude humor, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” is rated OK for ages 13+ and is 80 percent worth your time.
Ferris Bueller — “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”
Ferris is another great person to have by your side on any adventure. If you’re off to a city you’ve never visited before, Ferris would be the first to come up with a plan of everything you need to see and do.
Ferris just seems to have a way of finding and being a part of all the action. You’ll never know what you will get yourself into, but don’t worry. Ferris can get you out of any bind you might find yourself in. Just make sure you avoid any parades if you don’t want to be a part of an impromptu musical number.
“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” is 89 percent worth your time and has a kids rating of 11+.
Chuck Noland — “Cast Away”
If you are planning a Caribbean getaway, I suggest letting Chuck Noland tag along. You should always plan for the best case scenario, but just in case things go wrong, Chuck is the one you want by your side if you get stuck on an island.
Even if your vacation plays out without any bumps, Chuck has plenty of stories to keep you entertained. Another bonus of having Chuck as a vacation buddy is that you will always be on time, wherever you go.
“Cast Away” has a 71 percent worth your time rating and 12+ age rating.
Grace Hart — “Miss Congeniality”
Since we already know she uses her authority as an FBI agent to get coffee on a Monday, she’d probably be able to speed up the whole security process at the airport, which means more time to enjoy a pre-flight Cinnabon.
Agent Hart is a great linguist and could probably give you some help with the local language or culture. Gracie Hart is also the only protection you need, no matter where you are. No attacker can get past this agent, so you would always feel safe. She’s pretty much the whole package.
“Miss Congeniality” has an age rating of 12+ and 83 percent worth your time.
