Semifinalists for the nation’s most prestigious culinary recognition, one often called the Oscars of the food world, were announced Wednesday.
The roundup includes the cooking of Senegal, burgers that began in Pakistan and famous restaurateurs going off-Strip for the first time.
Trader Joe’s released the results from its annual Customer Choice Awards.
The restaurants feature tacos with handmade tortillas, comfort dishes for breakfast and lunch, and sushi, sashimi and regional Japanese small plates.
The menu features grab-and-go Vietnamese coffee drinks, tea drinks, smoothies and lemonades.
