Dita’s offers burgers, fries, German-style bratwurst
Dita's Brats and Burgers is "an eclectic mix of what German and American fast food have to offer," owner Hagen Thurnau says.
Opened at the end of March in a former Del Taco at 5117 W. Charleston Blvd., Dita's has a drive-thru window and can seat 50 people inside.
"This is not a franchise. The sausages are the same as served in Germany, not an American version of German sausage. Many of our patrons were U.S. soldiers who were stationed in Germany," Thurnau says.
Patrons can take advantage of free Wi-Fi, and Dita's offers a happy hour daily from 3 to 6 p.m. when the purchase of one cheeseburger and two beverages brings a second cheeseburger free. Hamburger combo meals come in two sizes: regular, which features fries and a drink, and double, which features double fries and a 44-ounce drink. Chicken tender combos also are available.
Dita's hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and noon to 8 p.m. on weekends.
