Dining Pick of the Week: North Beach Italian Bistro
North Beach Italian Bistro
Inside Bogey’s, 7770 W. Ann Road, 702-658-0579
North Beach Italian Bistro inside Bogey’s Bar & Grill near Ann and Cimarron roads provides a high-end, yet affordable Italian dining experience. Given that it is inside Bogey’s and adjacent to the bar area, the two establishments share kitchen facilities. Some menu items, such as the fettuccine Alfredo (fettuccine noodles tossed with ham and cream) and cannolis are available for both North Beach and Bogey’s patrons. But, as North Beach is open only for dinner, owner Ozzie Montana offers a more expansive Italian menu. Appetizers include baked clams oreganata for $12.95 (baked clams topped with breadcrumbs), and entrees feature linguine con gamberi e funghi for $13.95 (linguine with shrimp and mushrooms in a creamy tomato sauce), and penne alla vodka or rigatoni puttanesca for $12.95. North Beach also serves several versions of Italian-style chicken and veal and offers specialties such as New York steak, pizza and desserts. The wine list is extensive, and many beer choices are available. Alterations to some plates can be made to accommodate patrons’ tastes and dietary needs. North Beach is open from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Bogey’s Bar is open 24/7.
