Pumpkin treats at Bouchon Bakeries
If you haven’t yet had your fill of pumpkin-spice everything, the Bouchon Bakeries at The Venetian are offering pumpkin shortbread cookies, pumpkin macarons with pumpkin ganache, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin-spice lattes and pumpkin cupcakes with cream-cheese filling through Oct. 31. The cookies and muffins are $3.75, the cupcakes $6.25 and the lattes $4.75 to 6.25.
JCCBBQ Cook-off
The sixth annual JCCBBQ Cook-off Festival, a barbecue competition and festival sponsored by the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, has a new location this year. It’ll run from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday on the Opportunity Village campus at 6050 S. Buffalo Drive. The event also will include games, activities and rides; for tickets, go to jccbbq.com.
Oktoberfest dinner
Longtime local chef Gustav Mauler will focus on the flavors of Bavaria during Tuesday’s Oktoberfest-themed Wild Horse Paso Robles winemaker dinner at Spiedini at the J.W. Marriott. Amid the devastation of the Northern California fires Ferrari-Carrano Vineyards and Winery in Sonoma County remains open, and the company’s wines will be featured in a dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Charcoal Room at Palace Station. Lutefisk Dinner
Tickets are on sale for the annual Lutefisk Dinner by the Sons of Norway Desert Troll Lodge, which is at 5 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Boulder City Elks Lodge, 1217 Boulder Highway.
