Marquee encourages clubbers to get loose with ‘Party Rock’ promo
If you're looking for crazy club action Monday night, check out the "Party Rock" promotion over at Marquee.
But you better be ready to stand in a long line, because 4,000 to 8,000 people have filled up Marquee on "Party Rock" nights this year.
The unique thing about "Party Rock" is it bucks the norm: Normally, clubs are full of women wearing little black dresses and men decked out in untucked dress shirts.
You can wear that stuff to Marquee on Monday, but a lot of women will be wearing more liberating rave gear -- athletic socks, colorful dresses -- while many men don nerd shirts.
Plenty of people will have their silly, trendy little glasses on, the ones with no lenses.
That's partly an ode to "Party Rock's" DJ, Redfoo of LMFAO.
And Marquee's popular mascot, Mr. Q, will be walking around, handing out free headbands or wristbands.
If you've got a local ID, you get in free.
By skewing from the usual dress code, people actually do let loose a little more.
However, since the weather is supposed to be quite cold, the outdoor patio might not be a good hang, as it typically is.
