Ska Revival Tour heads list of 5 cheap shows
SKA-SKANK REDEMPTION — The Ska Revival Tour features a group of like-minded bands — Be Like Max from Vegas, the A-Oks and the Dendrites from Denver and the Anchorage from Utah — spreading the gospel of ska and keeping its spirit alive. Stop by the Hard Rock Cafe at 4475 Paradise Road on Saturday to get your skank on. The show is at 9 p.m. and admission is free.
MONSTERS OF MOCK — Wanna see a double bill featuring Metallica and Judas Priest? Well, you can either fire up the Delorean and point that sucker toward 1987 or, if the WABAC Machine is in the shop, you can always head on over to Count‘s Vamp‘d on Saturday for a free show featuring Damage Inc and Just Like Priest.
EASY ON THE EARS — Speaking of free shows, the Stooges Brass Band, one of the Big Easy‘s best brass bands, is playing a pair of free gigs at Brooklyn Bowl at The Linq (3545 Las Vegas Blvd. South) on Sunday and Monday nights.
DEAD RINGER — Bummed that Nickelback canceled its tour? Aw, don‘t be glum, chum. While, admittedly, there‘s probably no substitute to seeing Chad Kroeger and Co., here‘s the next best thing: a free show on Fremont featuring their friends in Theory of a Deadman, which could easily pass for a stunt double.
CHICKEN DANCE — Hankering for some finger-licking good soul? Join DJ the JuJu Man, Professor Rex Dart and Prince Ghostride as they serve up just that along with some fried chicken at the Bunkhouse for this month‘s edition of the Chicken Shack. Admission is free and so is the chicken.
