One Direction drawing crowds to Mandalay Bay
Not many groups can cut to the chase and just name their new single “Best Song Ever.”
But no one is going to argue with One Direction this summer. At least, no one who will be at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Friday or Saturday. (Both shows are officially sold out, but there’s that whole secondary market for the determined.)
Sold-out arenas should be proof that the British pop quintet hasn’t faded since last year’s two nights in the same venue (those after playing Planet Hollywood’s concert hall a couple of months earlier).
There will be plenty more ways to consume One Direction. The 3-D movie “One Direction: This Is Us” brings a last summer hurrah to movie theaters Aug. 30.
And soon the lads will have their own line of lip gloss, with five shades matched to each lad’s favorite color by signature.
So any haters? They can just kiss off.
