Life is Beautiful festival announces 2016 lineup
Life is Beautiful, the annual Las Vegas music, arts and food festival that takes over downtown for three days each fall, just announced its 2016 lineup, with an edgy, eye-grabbing clip that kicks off with a car exploding. (The video was produced by Critical Focus and directed by Ryen McPherson, who’s also directed videos for Mercy Music and the Dirty Hooks.)
The big names on the bill for the fourth installment of the event, which is slated to kick off Sept. 23 and run through Sept. 25, include Mumford & Sons, J. Cole, Major Lazer, the Lumineers, G-Eazy, the Shins, Flume, Jane’s Addiction and Bassnectar.
The lineup is rounded out by a number of laudable emerging artist like Galantis, Raury, Jack Garratt, Alunageorge, Seven Lions, Gramatik, along with critically acclaimed acts like Leon Bridges and Kamasi Washington, heritage bands like Jimmy Eat World and Third Eye Blind, and a slew of other noteworthy names like Die Antwoord, City and Colour, Tegan and Sara, Crystal Castles, Excision, the Naked and Famous, Bloc Party and Pete Yorn, and local acts like the Lique and Brumby.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now. For general admission, three-day passes range from $265 to $285, while three-day VIP passes range from $615 to $655. Payment plans are also available and can be paid in four installments. An all-in VVIP pass, which includes access to the All-In Lounge, which offers complimentary beer, wine and spirits, a pair of meal vouchers per day, a separate viewing area and a gift bag, can be picked up for $2,495.
