Divine Eatery is a little slice of heaven tucked into a half-vacant commercial center in the Providence master-planned community. The cafe is a welcome addition in an area that is lacking in dining options. Breakfast and lunch are served, and the cozy space offers diners a view of the kitchen. Service is fast and attentive, with diners seating themselves and the wait staff coming by to take their order. Breakfast is served all day and features fluffy pancakes (the Divine Pancakes are three pancakes served with strawberries and whipped cream), biscuits and gravy, and chorizo burrito. The Healthy Way features three egg whites with spinach, mushrooms and roasted peppers, topped with ripe avocado and accompanied by tomato composee and toast. Along with sides, salads and appetizers, the surprisingly varied menu also features sandwiches (The Rachel is grilled rye bread with melted Swiss, sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing and sliced turkey breast) and burgers (the Divine BBQ Burger is an 8-ounce patty with cheddar, Divine BBQ sauce, crispy bacon and onion strings). The cafe is open until 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and dinner options include ribs, fish tacos with beer-battered tilapia, spaghetti, chipotle chicken and meatloaf. Save room for dessert —the Double Trouble ($5) features three deep-fried Oreo cookies and a Twinkie dusted with powdered sugar and served with strawberry sauce. Menu prices average less than $10. Divine Eatery is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday. It is closed Monday.
