Chef Shaun King wins at Back of the House Brawl relaunch

Momofuku’s Shaun King was the winner of the Back of the House Brawl late-night cooking competition Saturday night at Sparrow + Wolf. He defeated China Poblano’s Richard Heredia in a hard-fought battle using “mystery” ingredients revealed just before they started their 30-minute contest: ostrich eggs, truffled dwarf pears, red peppercorns, jicama and marigold flowers. The next Brawl is Oct. 14 at Urban Seed.
