5 inexpensive music shows coming up in Las Vegas
October surprise
Touring in support of its latest album, “Home,” Blue October returns to Las Vegas on Saturday for a show at Brooklyn Bowl at The Linq with Danny Malone. Tickets are $27, and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Deep south
If you feel like getting down to the sounds of some sweet classic rock, head to Count’s Vamp’d on Friday for another terrific night of tribute bands. The Sounds of Purple and Sweet Home Alabama will be paying tribute to the music of Deep Purple and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The show’s free and starts at 9 p.m.
Snake rattle and roll
On Saturday, King Cobra, an ’80s-era hard rock band featuring Carmen Appice, Paul Shortino, Johnny Rod and David Henzerling, is due to play Count’s Vamp’d with Diamond Lane. Tickets are $10 to $15, and the show starts at 9 p.m.
Patron Saints
The Saints of Las Vegas, a band featuring Brent Muscat of Faster Pussycat fame and Rob Cournoyer of Raging Slab and Soul Asylum, is playing Friday and Saturday at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip. The shows are free and start at 5 p.m. on the second-floor patio.
Whole lotta Led
The music of Led Zeppelin will always sound all kinds of awesome. Although the band will probably never reunite, thankfully there’s acts like Led Zepagain, due Wednesday at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, to remind us how rad Robert Plant and company are. Tickets are $12, and the show starts at 7 p.m.
