Here are the movies coming out this week

ANT-MAN: The Marvel Cinematic Universe gets a bit smaller as a master thief (Paul Rudd) gains the ability to shrink in size while increasing in strength. At multiple locations. (117 min.) PG-13; sci-fi action violence.

TRAINWRECK: After years of laughing at monogamy, a magazine writer (Amy Schumer) thinks about settling down with her latest interview subject (Bill Hader) in this comedy from director Judd Apatow. At multiple locations. (125 min.) R; strong sexual content, nudity, language and some drug use.

MR. HOLMES: An aging Sherlock (Ian McKellen) marshals the forces of his diminishing mind to solve one last case. At multiple locations. (104 min.) PG; thematic elements, some disturbing images and incidental smoking.

ALOFT: A young journalist (Melanie Laurent) brings together a renowned artist (Jennifer Connelly) and her estranged falconer son (Cillian Murphy). At Village Square. (95 min.) R; language and some sexuality.

TESTAMENT OF YOUTH: A young girl ("Ex Machina") comes of age during World War I in this drama based on the memoir by Vera Brittain. At Village Square. (129 min.) PG-13; thematic material including bloody and disturbing war related images.

DARK AWAKENING: While temporarily living in an old estate, a family encounters the spirits of nine children in this horror tale. At Sam‘s Town. (95 min.) Not rated.
