This week’s 5 best bets for music in Las Vegas

Shooter Jennings

Like his father, country music outlaw Waylon Jennings, Shooter Jennings follows his own set of rules. That approach has produced a genre-jumping musical catalog that keeps listeners guessing. The 37-year-old’s last two albums, for example, pay tribute to country music legend George Jones and ’70s electronic pioneer Giorgio Moroder, respectively. (The latter includes a killer collaboration with Marilyn Manson on David Bowie’s “Cat People.”) Jennings teams up with his father’s band, Waymore’s Outlaws, at 8 p.m. Friday at Fremont Country Club. Tickets for the 21-and-older show are $25 to $30; call 702-382-6601.

Kurt Vile and the Violators

Kurt Vile’s bleary-eyed, introspective “B’lieve I’m Goin Down” made many a 2015 album-of-the-year list. It’s easily the year’s best to include a lyric about a Shop-Vac coughing up dust bunnies. The Philadelphia-bred singer-songwriter brings his hazy, dazy tunes to Brooklyn Bowl at The Linq at 7 p.m. Monday. Tickets are $20 to $35; call 702-862-2695.

Rebelution

It’s hard to go wrong with reggae on the beach (or a reasonable facsimile of one). California-based reggae rockers Rebelution hit Mandalay Bay Beach at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in support of their fifth album, “Falling Into Place.” Tickets are $30; call 800-745-3000.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

Unwind poolside and rewind to the late ’90s with the melodic raps of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Part of the Hard Rock Hotel’s “Friday Night Live at the Pool” concert series, the show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $30; call 888-929-7849.

The Fixx

The Fixx, the British New Wave act best remembered for the ’80s hit “One Thing Leads to Another,” performs at 7 p.m. Thursday at Brooklyn Bowl. Tickets are $27.50 to $40; call 702-862-2695.
