Your best bets for eating in Las Vegas in the week ahead

Solo trip

Here’s an idea for a quick — and definitely hearty — lunch on the fly: Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken in Downtown Summerlin has introduced The Chicken Madness. Inspired by March Madness, it piles it on a regular fried-chicken sandwich by adding barbecue pulled chicken, pepperjack cheese, bacon, barbecue sauce and pickled peppers, and it’s $8.95, through the end of March.

Family fun

You can afford to take the whole family to breakfast (or breakfast for dinner) with these new deals at the Grand Cafe and Cafe Fiesta at Boulder, Palace, Santa Fe, Sunset and Texas Stations, Green Valley Ranch Resort, Red Rock Resort and Fiesta Henderson. Available from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, they’re all less than $10 and include an Italian omelet with hash browns ($9.79); Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes with cream-cheese icing ($6.99); and Ground Round & Eggs with hash browns, grilled onions, mushroom gravy and toast ($8.99).

Date night

Take your significant other and your significant mutt to Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin, which now has a dog-friendly patio available during brunch, lunch and dinner. It’s BYODF, but they’ll provide a bowl, as well as water for your pet.

Something new

Elixir at 2920 Green Valley Parkway in Henderson now serves brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays. The extended brunch brings with it some new menu items: the ever-popular Monte Cristo, plus a strawberry-Nutella sandwich, poached egg salad, Eggs Benedict, a breakfast quesadilla and a Florentine omelet. They’re $9.95 each and come with a basket of mini-muffins for the table. Mimosas and bloody marys are $6, Zardetta Prosecco $8 a glass.

For friends

Get the group together for one of two tequila-pairing dinners (or both; we don’t judge). The Patron Tequila dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at El Segundo Sol at the Fashion Show Mall is five courses with an entree of pork belly and fried quail egg tacos. It’s $60 plus tax and tip; call 702-258-1211. And the Don Julio Tequila dinner at 7 p.m. March 19 at Cantina Laredo in Tivoli Village will be four courses and is $49.99; call 702-202-4511.
