Strip Tips: Celebrate Roaring ’20 at Rockhouse

Rockhouse at the Grand Canal Shoppes in The Venetian is bringing back the Roaring ’20s with Prohibition Thursdays. Every week, the dive bar will host a party starting at 7 p.m. Guests will get in for half-price cover and enjoy $5 cocktails through closing. You can even dress up like bootleggers and flappers, if you want. For access to Prohibition Thursdays, get the secret password on Rockhouse’s social media accounts: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Each week, the password will be updated.

‘Evil’ overnight

The cast of “Evil Dead the Musical” is offering zombie fans the opportunity to spend a night with Deadites and Ash on Wednesday. The cast will leave the confines of the V Theater at Miracle Mile Shops and head to Mount Charleston Lodge for a night of evil feasting and a screening of the original “Evil Dead” movie. Nosh on buffet items, including “Bloody BBQ” chicken wings, chain saw-carved pulled pork and ribs. You’ll get to hang out with the cast and witness a special live performance. If zombies can do live performances, that is. Then the party will move to a creepy, dark cabin for the movie screening. After everything dies down, guests will sleep in their own cabins. Summer Sessions

You know summer’s just around the corner when the parties move to the patios along the Strip. Starting Thursday, PBR Rock Bar & Grill will host Summer Sessions, to be held on the last Thursday of every month. From 7 to 9 p.m., guests can sip specially priced cocktails ($8) made with Patron tequila. A DJ will spin music to keep the groove going. Summer Sessions will run through Labor Day weekend.
