Zakk Wylde

Learn how to rule the Earth, or maybe just headbang more efficiently, when former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist and current Black Label Society frontman Zakk Wylde reads from his book, “Bringing Metal to the Children: The Complete Berzerker’s Guide to World Domination,” and performs acoustically at 8 p.m. Saturday at Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road. ‘Company You Keep’

For “The Company You Keep,” his tale of former Weather Underground activists still in hiding after four decades, director Robert Redford has assembled a stunning collection of talent — Susan Sarandon, Julie Christie, Nick Nolte, Stanley Tucci, Terrence Howard, Chris Cooper, Richard Jenkins, Sam Elliott, Anna Kendrick, Brendan Gleeson and himself — most of whom are just there to make Shia LaBeouf look like a putz.

‘Jazz Roots’

It’s delightful, it’s de-lovely ... and who could ask for anything more? Not fans of “The Great American Songbook,” the focus of tonight’s “Jazz Roots” concert, where Ann Hampton Callaway, Tony DeSare and “America’s Got Talent” winner Landau Eugene Murphy (above) will sing and swing ” ’S Wonderful” classics by the likes of Gershwin, Porter and Berlin at

Beer fest

Like beer? You can taste lots of it — more than 200 craft brews — at the Great Vegas Festival of Beer from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Park . The Nevada Craft Brewers Association has created some specialty beers just for the festival. It’s $30 in advance, $40 at the gate for general admission; $40 in advance and $50 at the gate for early (2 p.m.) entry; and $55 in advance, $65 at the gate for Brewers Lounge VIP. Rehab dayclub

On Sunday at the Hard Rock Hotel, Rehab dayclub celebrates its 10th anniversary by hosting a DJ set with French house music duo Justice, whose 2007 “Cross” is one of the very finest electronic dance music albums ever. Justice’s 2012 show at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas was the most fun EDM hour on the Strip last year.
