Six Picks: Our experts pick their favorites for July 26-Aug. 1

Breathe in the air. Stick your toes in the water and look for the dark side of the moon. Brit Floyd is playing entire album sides of several Pink Floyd classics, with as much of its sound and light show as it can fit on the outdoor beach stage at Mandalay Bay. Admission is $30 for the 9 p.m. Saturday show at 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Call 702-632-7580.

Kasey Musgraves

Understatement is as rare in contemporary Nashville as country crooners who pledge undying allegiance to Satan. Maybe that’s what makes “Same Trailer Different Park,” the breezy, banjo-flecked major label debut from Kasey Musgraves, so refreshing. See her in a setting as unadorned as said album when she performs at 9 p.m. Monday at Gilley’s at Treasure Island, 3300 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Call 702-894-7147.

Grateful Dead

If you’re among the many who consider the world a lonelier place since Jerry Garcia left it, you’re in luck. The third annual “Grateful Dead Meet Up at the Movies” features a restored “Sunshine Daydream,” filmed in 1972 at the Oregon Country Fair, with all new stereo and Dolby 5.1 audio mixes. See it at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Colonnade, Orleans, Sam’s Town, Santa Fe, South Point and Village Square.

Ahern) for excursions to Mexico and Kenya (11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, respectively) and London (2:30 p.m. Sunday). In between, Tino explores museum exhibits, from “Super Cold Science” to “Summer Fun in the Sun,” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $12 (free for museum members); call 702-382-5437.

Lil Jon

The one and only Lil Jon DJs Sunday at XS nightclub in the Wynn. The man who says “yeah!” better than anyone on the planet was wrongly ousted from the most recent “Celebrity Apprentice” season. But his iconic voice and DJing skills will be on full display at XS, once again.
