Meet Mary Elizabeth Hotchkiss

Age: 32

Has been dancing since age 2 (her mom was her first dance teacher). ... First professional gig was at age 16, dancing in “Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Classics” at Opryland the summer between junior and senior year of high school (favorite dance decades: the ’50s and ’80s). ... Moved to Los Angeles at 17 to study in a yearlong professional scholarship program. ... Credits include playing Patty Simcox (“the annoying cheerleader”) in a European tour of “Grease,” playing Ariel at Tokyo DisneySea, performing in “Tarzan” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida, and six years of cruise ship work. ... Became a Siren of TI just over two years ago. ... Primary role is “Eve” (“She’s a spoiled brat ... I don’t know why, but that one comes naturally to me!”). ... Has added sword fighting and a bit of stunt work to her repertoire of skills since joining “Sirens.” ... Enjoys practicing yoga and Pilates, and hopes to one day become certified to teach.

On being a Siren

“The cold is the hardest thing to overcome, just getting used to that and learning how you can still move, bundled up to the max, while you’re dancing. But they give us good layers you can’t see as far as stockings, shorts we can put on underneath and skaters’ tights that we wear under our fishnets. You can’t even tell we have them on, but it’s necessary.”
