Reba adds shows with Brooks & Dunn; Celine still sidelined

Country stars Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn will add three more shows to the 12 announced last month, and the new dates June 17, 19 and 20 will now be their debut in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The added shows were prompted in part by the country veterans selling out three other dates: June 24, 26 and 27.

The Colosseum also has more vacant nights on its calendar, as Celine Dion is reportedly sitting out more of the year.

In August, Dion canceled 41 shows that were booked through March 22, saying she needed to “devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband’s healing.” Her husband-manager, Rene Angelil, has been battling throat cancer.

While there was talk of Dion returning by late summer, no 2015 dates were ever put on sale. The new dates for McEntire and Brooks & Dunn already were open dates on the calendar, says a spokeswoman for AEG Live, which operates the venue and produces most shows there.
