Kabuki show brings splash of Japan to Bellagio — PHOTOS & VIDEO

After weeks of preparation, the Bellagio lake came alive with a Kabuki show unlike anything seen before in Las Vegas.

MGM Resorts International produced the show in collaboration with Shochiku at the Fountains of Bellagio.

Top Kabuki star Ichikawa Somegoro performed during the event, which was inspired by Kabuki, the most famous traditional performance art in Japan.

Exquisite costumes combined with water movements, music and images projected on the water screen brought an entirely new experience as the show ended Sunday.

Following Friday's debut, the show ran two times Saturday (9:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.) and again on Sunday before closing.
