Las Vegas needs to import outside magicians about as much as it needs to go to Death Valley and bottle up some heat. But have any of the local presdigitationators hosted “Cupcake Wars”?

Enter Justin Willman, at least for one weekend at the Suncoast.

Before Food Network came calling, the St. Louis native was making a name for himself on college campuses, honing his ironic, self-aware approach to magic.

Then came a 2011 Hollywood showcase, “Magic Meltdown,” in the backroom of a comics shop, as part of Chris Hardwick’s Nerdist Theater series.

But it’s the eight seasons of “Cupcake Wars” that are most likely to bring jaded locals to the table for Willman’s “Like a Magician, but Cooler.”
