Get to know comedian Seth Meyers at The Mirage

You will see his feet. You won’t see the map behind him.

“Seeing anyone you know from television live, you want the part you can’t get on television. People will definitely leave knowing more about me than when they came in,” Seth Meyers said last year of his stand-up gigs at The Mirage.

Best-known as the “Weekend Update” newsman, Meyers is also the head writer of “Saturday Night Live.” He is a product of Chicago’s sketch comedy scene, and “SNL” hired him in 2001, just before friend and future castmate Jason Sudeikis would come to Las Vegas to be in The Second City at the Flamingo.

Las Vegas seems to have become part of Meyers’ schedule.

“When you’re headed down on an elevator in a Las Vegas casino about to do a show, it’s a great feeling,” he said last year. “You don’t have to tell people in Las Vegas there’s a little added energy in the air, but I felt that as well.”
