Sometimes you just need Chinese food. A go-to comfort choice for many people, it’s cuisine that you can find done the right way at China A Go Go. The eatery has grown in popularity across the valley in recent years and now has multiple locations, including this one in the Smith’s shopping center complex on Aliante Parkway near the 215 Beltway. Service here is fast and efficient. You can call in an order for pickup, walk in an order or dine in the restaurant, which features ample space with plenty of booths and tables, as well as several hanging flat-screen TVs. The take-home menu features several pages, including Signature Favorites such as honey walnut shrimp ($11.95), chicken lettuce wrap ($9.95) and mapo tofu ($9.55; soft, silken tofu and minced pork stir-fried with green onions in a spicy brown sauce). Asparagus chicken ($9.95) is also popular but is a seasonal dish. Along with these, you’ll find appetizers (crab Rangoon is $6.55 for six pieces), soup (corn egg flower, hot and sour plain or with seafood), salads (Chinese or Thai chicken), specialty noodles, chow mein, fried rice and chicken, pork, beef or shrimp entrees. Entree prices average $10 to $12, and there’s also a Healthy Delight menu with offerings such as Buddha’s Delight ($8.95; tofu, shiitake mushroom, broccoli, zucchini, carrots, napa cabbage, baby corn and water chestnuts stir-fried in brown sauce) and Chinese eggplant with tofu ($10.95). A children’s menu is available. Lunch specials are served daily until 4 p.m. and include $6.95 selections (beef with broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken) and $7.55 selections (Kung Pao shrimp, fish filet with black bean sauce), each served with fried rice and chow mein noodles, along with soup of the day for dine-in customers. Family dinners and party trays are also offered. Rounding out the authenticity are beverage selections such as Thai tea ($3, $3.95 with boba) and slush with boba ($3.95). China A Go Go on Aliante Parkway is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For other locations, visit chinagogolv.com.
