Small Plates: Off the Strip at The Linq

DINING OUT

OFF THE STRIP, THE LINQ, 3545 LAS VEGAS BLVD. SOUTH

Off the Strip opened Dec. 24 — and yes, it’s on the Strip. The new restaurant is a sister to the original Off the Strip, which was one of the first restaurants in Southern Highlands when Tom Goldsbury and his brother, chef Al Hubbard (since deceased), opened it seven years ago. James and Diane Cameron are partners in the new project with Goldsbury and restaurant executive Andrew Belmonti. The theme of “just real food” continues at this outlet, plus craft beers and cocktails, served indoors or outdoors on the Promenade at The Linq. Here’s a sample of the menu:

Table starters: Three Wise Hummus (garlic, orange lentil and kalamata olive), $15; sweet chili and bacon prawns, $12; steamed mussels, $13; baked chicken wings, $9; rolled New York strip with asparagus, $14.

Soups and salads: House-made chicken vegetable, $7; turkey and heirloom bean chili, $7; kale with hearts of palm, $12; Garbage Salad, $14; Caesar salad, $11.

Sandwiches: Roasted vegetable baguette, $10; roast turkey club, $10; lamb gyro cheese steak, $11.

Entrees: Meatloaf, $14; beef Stroganoff, $22; chicken Parmesan, $21; eggplant Parmesan, $19; spaghetti marinara with meatball, $21; roasted chicken breast, $21.

It’s open 24/7. Call 702-331-6800.
