Halloween treats at local restaurants
A number of local businesses are offering Halloween-themed treats and Halloween specials.
Anyone who visits a participating Krispy Kreme location in costume on Oct. 31 can get a free doughnut. The offer is good for any available variety, including the Halloween jack-o-lantern and spider doughnuts (shown) and the new Ghostbusters doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme also is featuring fall flavors — Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnuts, Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Doughnuts and pumpkin spice lattes — through Nov. 30.
O Face Doughnuts, in the John E. Carson Building at 124 S. Sixth St., is featuring Halloween-candy-inspired doughnuts: Twix with caramel milk chocolate ganache filling or Butterfinger with milk chocolate peanut butter ganache filling, $2.25 each, and glazed doughnuts topped with Skittles or candy corn, $1.25 each.
Sweet Ruby Jane Confections, 9550 S. Eastern Ave., is offering a variety of Halloween-themed candies, cookies, popcorn, cake pops and more. …
Trevi at The Forum Shops at Caesars will serve Candy Corn and Cookies & Cringe gelato, the former with crushed candy corn in vanilla-flavored gelato, the latter with gummy worms and Oreo cookie chunks in chocolate gelato, Oct. 30 and 31, and pumpkin cheesecake gelato through Nov. 15, all for $4.50 a scoop. …
