Ferraro family opens Pizza Forte at Sunset Station
DINING OUT
PIZZA FORTE, SUNSET STATION, 1301 W. SUNSET ROAD, HENDERSON
Pizza Forte, which opened in April, is from the Ferraro family, longtime Las Vegas restaurateurs who are best known for Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar on Paradise Road. With father and son Gino and Mimmo Ferraro as partners, it specializes in New York-style and Roman-style pan pizzas, whole or by the slice, plus gluten-free options. Other menu selections include house-made meatball sandwiches and three varieties of Hofmann hot dogs from upstate New York. The decor evokes the rustic/industrial feel of whitewashed brick and reclaimed wood. (A second location is planned at the Hard Rock Hotel.) Here’s a sample of the menu:
Pizza: New York-style (18-inch), $18.95; New York-style by the slice, $3.25 to $4.25; Roman pizza (14-inch), $13.95; Roman slices, $4 to $4.50; gluten-free (12-inch), $12.95.
Sandwiches: German frank, all-beef, Snappy Griller or cheddar-stuffed frank, $4.25 each; kielbasa, $5.75; jalapeno sausage, $6.50; Italian sausage with peppers and onions, $6.50; meatball sandwich, $6.50.
Pizza Forte opens at 11 a.m. daily. Call 702-470-0834 or visit www.pizza-forte.com.
