Dining Pick of the Week: Presto Calzone Bakery

Presto Calzone Bakery

7501 N. Cimarron Road, Suite 108, 702-848-3989

Inside a strip mall off Farm and Cimarron roads in Centennial Hills is a small, hidden bakery that sells fresh calzones, homemade Italian sodas and baked goods. The family-owned Presto Calzone Bakery opened in October and offers ready-to-eat or take-and-bake calzones. The owners say the calzones are baked fresh every day. Choices include: Canadian bacon and pineapple, all-meat combo, Canadian bacon and salami, pepperoni combo, Italian sausage combo, and mozzarella and Provolone. Other options include a vegetarian calzone with garlic Parmesan white sauce, fresh mushrooms, spinach and Provolone. Each calzone costs $6. Dipping sauces can be added for $1 and include ranch, calzone red and honey. Personal desserts cost between $2.25 and $3 and include pumpkin chocolate chip cookie, banana nut mini-loaf, pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting and pumpkin bread pudding with pecan praline sauce. The apple crumble is similar to a freshly baked apple pie made in a smaller scale with the apples purchased from the local Gilcrease Orchard. The business also sells 30 custom house-made Italian sodas, including ruby red grapefruit, habanero lime and Granny Smith apple. Presto Calzone Bakery is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. For more information, visit facebook.com/prestocalzonebakery.
