It’s good to have a go-to neighborhood pizza place. La Bella’s Pizzeria is tucked away in a strip mall behind Target off Buffalo Drive near the 215 Beltway, and it serves its neighborhood well. The menu here is full of the expected pizzas, strombolis and calzones, as well as a surprising variety of Italian entrees and pasta dishes. Pizzas are available as custom brick oven pies (starting at $6.99 for a small cheese) or gourmet pies ($12.99 to $19.99), including La Bella’s Veggie Style with mushrooms, green peppers, onions, black olives and sliced tomato. The Meat Lover’s features sausage, pepperoni, meatball, ham and bacon. Entree selections ($11.99), served with penne or spaghetti with marinara sauce, include eggplant parmigiana, chicken Marsala and chicken piccata. Oven baked pasta options ($9.99) include rigatoni Zingaro with sausage, hot cherry peppers, mushrooms and marinara, chicken and broccoli Alfredo, and tortellini carbonara with prosciutto, red onions, cream and Romano cheese. There are also salads, burgers, hot and cold subs, wraps, chicken wings and fingers and seafood entrees. Desserts include homemade cannolis and zeppoles, fried doughballs dusted with sugar and served warm. Whatever you do, be sure to begin your meal with the garlic knots (starting at $1.99 for an order of six), served with a side of housemade marinara sauce. Seating in the restaurant is at tables, and pick-up, delivery and catering service are available. Lunch specials start at $4.99 for a slice of cheese pizza and a side salad.
