Celebrate hamburgers for a day or the month
Is your name Eisenberg? Or Hamilton?
Well, maybe it’s Birmingham. Or Eichelberger.
If you have any variation of the words “ham” or “burger” in your name, you can get a free burger between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. May 28 — National Hamburger Day — at any of the Remedy’s/Elixir/Distill restaurants in the valley.
It’s one burger per qualifying customer (and management gets to decide who qualifies), and the offer doesn’t apply to double burgers or build-your-owns with more than three toppings. But it does apply to burgers such as the Cure Burger, shown here, a ground beef and pork blend stuffed with fontina cheese.
Remedy’s is at 3265 St. Rose Parkway and 530 Conestoga Way, both in Henderson. Elixir is at 2920 N. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson. And Distill is at 10820 W. Charleston Blvd. and 4830 W. Pyle Ave.
Here are some other specials to celebrate on National Hamburger Day or National Hamburger Month, which is this month:
Tacos & Tequila at Luxor: Matador Burger, $13, on National Hamburger Day. It’s a half-pound with caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, guacamole, three kinds of cheese and thousand island dressing on a bolillo roll.
The Mirage, all month: Juicy Goosey, ground duck stuffed with Muenster cheese, watercress, tomatoes and bacon-onion jam, $30 at Portofino; Heritage Burger, 10 ounces topped with foie gras and cheddar, $38 at Heritage Steak; 10-ounce Kobe burger, $34 at Stack; I-80, with cheddar, caramelized onions, peppercorn-crusted bacon and barbecue sauce, $15 at BLT Burger; Volcano Burger, with smoked linguica, fried egg, jalapenos and sriracha mayo, $18 at Paradise cafe; pork sliders with Japanese barbecue sauce and Asian slaw, $4 each at Japonais; and turducken sliders between miniature waffles, $19.50 at Carnegie Deli.
