SIX PICKS: Jay Mohr, DJ Green Lantern, ‘Phantom Menace,”Beyond Brokeback,’ Splendor in the Glass, ATB
Jay Mohr
He acts. He blogs. He podcasts. He tweets. And somehow Jay Mohr still has time to do stand-up, as he will today through Sunday in the Improv club at Harrah's Las Vegas. Maybe he will imitate Andrew Dice Clay, what with the real one right up the street. Tickets are $49.50 to $60.50 for shows at 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.; call 369-5223.

DJ Green Lantern
His name may have been sullied over the summer by a barfy Ryan Reynolds flick, but don't hold that against DJ Green Lantern. Having worked with Eminem, Nas, Jay-Z and others, he's long been one of hip-hop's prime movers. See him at midnight Tuesday at Bond at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd. South. No cover; call 698-7000.

'The Phantom Menace'
"Star Wars" die-hards, it's time to party like it's 1999, so salute the return of the Jedi (and hiss the insidious Sith) in "Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace," the first of six "Star Wars" revivals landing at local theaters in 3-D. Just think: lethal light-sabers twirling away! The cross-country podrace on Tattooine! Jar-Jar Binks in your face! Then again, let's not think about Jar-Jar.

'Beyond Brokeback'
You've (probably) seen the movie. Now hear the essays, poetry and music. The former was "Brokeback Mountain." The latter is "Beyond Brokeback," an afternoon of readings and songs at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Inspired by Annie Proulx's short story of two cowboys in a complicated and conflicted romance, the free show is written by members of the Ultimate Brokeback Forum. For information, call 733-0917.

DJ ATB
German trance DJ-producer ATB takes over Marquee nightclub Saturday at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Currently listed as the world's No. 1-voted DJ on TheDJList.com, ATB (Andre Tanneberger, 38) creates long-form dance trance as well as American dance pop hits, from "Could You Believe" featuring Jennifer Karr, to a remake of my favorite electro-dance hit of all time, Olive's "You're Not Alone," featuring Roberta Carter Harrison.
