On pursuing a dance career

“I was trained by a showgirl. She was in ‘Hello, Hollywood, Hello’ and ‘Moulin Rouge’ and all of that. To see what she had done in her life, that kind of inspired me to do the same. Then, we had a competition here when I was about 14, and just seeing all the billboards, I was, like, ‘I want to be that!’ ”
