Dining Pick of the Week: Made L.V. American Tavern

Made L.V. American Tavern

Tivoli Village, 450 S. Rampart Blvd., No. 120, 702-722-2000

Made L.V. American Tavern is the latest culinary venture to open in Tivoli Village, taking over the space formerly occupied by Bradley Ogden’s Hops & Harvest. Operated by Honey Salt owners Elizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla, Made L.V. seeks to fill the casual pub void at the outdoor shopping center. The atmosphere is contemporary with dark wood and a medium-sized bar in the back. There’s also an attractive outdoor seating area that looked like a nice place for a happy hour gathering. The menu offers a selection of small plates, hearty plates, salads, sandwiches and main entrees. The Black Mission Figs ($9) are on the small plates menu and feature figs atop goat cheese with roasted balsamic, pomegranate, pistachios and arugula. Under the hearty plates menu is the Dirty Mac and Cheese ($7), a creamy blend of elbow macaroni, four cheeses, burnt pork ends and peas, covered with a Ritz cracker crust. Sandwiches include Canteen Banh Mi ($12), which is house pate, country ham, pickled carrot and daikon, herb salad and Sriracha mayo. Main entrees range from fish fry ($17.75) to the 10-ounce rib eye ($28.75). There are three desserts, each $7: the Bag of Donut Holes (served warm with berry jam), Banana Pudding (served parfait style in a small jar with salted caramel and whipped cream) and the Loaded S’mores Nachos (graham cracker, torched marshmallow, Oreo cookie crumbs, chocolate sauce). There is also an exenstive cocktail and draft beer menu. Happy hour is from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Made L.V. is open from 4 to 11 p.m. daily for dinner and 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday for lunch.
