UFC OCTAGON GIRL ARIANNY CELESTE ARRESTED ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARGE
UFC Octagon Girl Arianny Celeste was jailed early Saturday morning in Las Vegas on a charge of domestic violence.
The leading female face of the UFC with 230,000 Twitter followers, the 26-year-old beauty was booked under the name Arianny Lopez in the Clark County Detention Center.
UFC president Dana White released a supportive statement shortly before UFC 146 started at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
White’s statement, issued by a UFC rep, read: "Arianny is our baby. She has been with us for over five years. She is a good girl and an amazing ambassador for the UFC. I don't know all the details of what happened but we have her back and support her 100 percent.”
About midnight Friday, Lopez posted a smiling photo of herself in what appeared to be an evening dress. The photo caption read: “Dinner at Mizumi,” the new restaurant at Wynn Las Vegas.
A few hours later, she tweeted another picture of herself with a male companion who appeared to be kissing the side of her face. The caption: “??! forever n always??”
Her last tweet, posted about 3:30 a.m., showed her making a fierce, frustrated face like she was having a meltdown. The caption read: “I be going crayyyy ha hey bay bayyy.”
Lopez was held on $3,000 bond. A hearing was set for May 30.
During her six years with the UFC, she has appeared on the cover of Playboy (November 2010) and been Ring Girl of the year in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
