ROBUCHON RECEIVES VEGAS’ ONLY 3-STAR RATING FROM MICHELIN

Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand has repeated as the only Las Vegas restaurant to receive Michelin Guide's three-star rating, it was announced today.

Seventeen Las Vegas restaurants were honored, including Chef Julian Serrano's Picasso at Bellagio, which received a two-star.

Five other MGM Mirage restaurants were awarded the one-star distinction: L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand, Le Cirque at Bellagio, MICHAEL MINA Bellagio, Aureole at Mandalay Bay and miX atop THEhotel at Mandalay Bay.

Only 69 restaurants in the world were honored with three stars.

Robuchon was the youngest chef of record to receive three stars for his restaurant Jamin in Paris in 1984 and is currently the most starred chef in the world.

Sharing the honor with Robuchon is his team of executive chef Claude Le Tohic, pastry chef Kamel Guechida and general manager Loic Launay.

Joining Picasso with two stars were Alex Stratta's at the Wynn and Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace.

The 12 Las Vegas restaurants receiving one star were: Alize, Palms; Andre's (downtown; Aureole, Mandalay Bay; Bradley Ogden, Caesars Palace; Daniel Boulud Brasserie, Wynn; DJT, Trump International; L'Atelier de Joel, MGM Grand; Le Cirque, Bellagio; Michael Mina, Bellagio; miX, Mandalay Bay; Nobu, Hard Rock; Restaurant Charlie, Palazzo; and Wing Lei, Wynn.
