PROMOTER ARRESTED IN FAKE TONI BRAXTON INCIDENT

A new development in the case of jailed Las Vegas celebrity impersonator Trina Johnson-Finn.

Authorities in the South American country of Suriname have apprehended the promoter who allegedly bookdc Johnson-Finn as Toni Braxton at a Feb. 28 concert.

According to published reports, Angel Ventura was captured Saturday in a harbor bar in Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname and site of the concert.

Ventura's associate, Signet Sampson, is still on the run, according to the Parimaribo newspaper Dagblad. Both Ventura and Sampson skipped out before the concert ended.

Meanwhile, Johnson-Finn remains in custody but goes before a judge on Tuesday.

In a faxed letter to her husband, Raymond Finn of Las Vegas, Johnson-Finn said that "overall I'm holding up okay." She has undergone blood tests related to back pain and abdominal problems, the latter from surgery she had late last year. She hopes to have the blood tests back on Tuesday.
