EXCLUSIVE: GARTH BROOKS EYEING 2014 WORLD TOUR

Garth Brooks is planning a world tour near the fall of 2014, his first in 16 years, the Review-Journal has learned.

Brooks, 50, ends a three-year, 180-show run Saturday night with two shows at Wynn Las Vegas.

But he will be back: Brooks will return this winter for a “Live From the Wynn” special of the one-man show he’s been doing, a source confirmed.

And yes, he will keep the private jet that Steve Wynn added as an enticement to come out of retirement. Brooks and Wynn had agreed to a five-year deal, with the stipulation either party could end it sooner.

Brooks’ last world tour was in November 1998. He announced his retirement in 2000, saying he would not return until the last of his three daughters are out of high school. His youngest is scheduled to graduate in May 2014.
