CAMPAIGN DEBTS DOGGING FORMER SENATE CANDIDATE LOWDEN

A month after a process server tracked down Sue Lowden during a Las Vegas deposition, the former Republican front-runner for the 2010 U.S. Senate nomination is claiming in court documents that she can't pay her campaign debts.

LETTER FROM SUE LOWDEN'S ATTORNEY
Here is a copy of the letter Sue Lowden's Denver attorney Brett Huff sent to John Head, the Denver attorney representing Vitale and Associates, a Denver GOP media services firm that served as Lowden's leading polling company. Lowden declined to comment Thursday and added she was "not aware of any letter" sent by Huff. Huff's letter indicates Lowden was sent a copy. Head said Thursday a process server he hired served the former GOP frontrunner for the U.S. Senate in a conference room in Las Vegas in January for unpaid campaign debts.

MOTION TO DISMISS
This document is Lowden's March 1, 2011, motion to dismiss efforts to have her defend the case in Colorado. In the affadavit, Lowden contends she does not have "substantial, systematic and continuous contact with the state of Colorado." Head told Vegas Confidential that Lowden was in Colorado on fundraising visits during her campaign.
