ACTRESS FRANCIS BAY DIES AT 92

Character actress Frances Bay -- best known as the woman who battled Jerry Seinfeld for that famous loaf of marble rye in Seinfeld -- died Thursday in Los Angeles, The New York Times reports. She was 92.

Bay's cousin, Marly Zaslow, confirms the actress died as a result of complications from pneumonia.

Born Frances Goffman, Bay began her career as a radio actress, but left the industry to marry and start a family. Bay made her film debut in Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase's 1978 comedy Foul Play, before going on to appear in more than 150 other projects.
