Fairey is perhaps most widely known for his now-iconic 2008 “Hope” poster of Barack Obama. More recently, his contribution to a “We the people” series for the inauguration of President Donald Trump included an illustration of a woman wearing a red, white and blue hijab that appeared often during last weekend’s women’s march on Washington.
Downtown Las Vegas welcomed the Year of the Rooster with a parade, performances and an after-party Saturday during the sixth annual Las Vegas Spring Festival.
The museum will use three exhibits and a lobby display to show how it developed from natural history to fine art.
Most recently a three-day event at Las Vegas Festival Grounds, the Academy of Country Music’s “Party for a Cause” is branching out to such locales as Hard Rock Hotel, Red Rock Resort and Toby Keith’s joint at Harrah’s.
