‘JERSEY BOYS’ ACTOR INJURED DURING SHOW FRIDAY

A member of the "Jersey Boys" cast was injured during the first act of Friday's show at the Palazzo, requiring an understudy to finish the night.

Erich Bergen, who plays Bob Gaudio of The Four Seasons, slipped and fell on stage, according to a source who witnessed the accident.

After falling on his backside, he got up and continued, but didn't appear in the next act.

After an awkward pause, an announcement was made that there would be a short intermission. Another announcement was made saying Bergen's understudy Mike Backes would be taking over the part of Gaudio -- and the show continued.

Bergen "banged up his knee," according to a spokesman for the show. "If he's not back tonight, he'll be back early next week."
