I was in a dayclub last year when I heard a no-name DJ spinning “Kaskade Live At Coachella 2012.”
This year, DJ-producer Steve Aoki plans to lay down hundreds of thousands of dollars in healthy bets — bets with friends that he will exercise and that they will exercise. If people involved in these bets miss a physical workout, they owe each other cash. What kind of exercising is involved? The serious kind.
I haven’t seen the weather forecast for this weekend, but I’m guessing it will be desert hot.
Jules Gray grew accustomed to seeing women carried out of clubs, their skirts lifted and dignity lowered. Other clubgoers might have dismissed it as another lightweight overestimating her tolerance, but as someone who worked in the nightclub and dayclub industry for 10 years, Gray knew better.
