Watch for celeb impersonators downtown this week
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are going to be in the same room on Monday. And one of them will be a winner, but it won't be for the title of commander in chief.
The 22nd annual REEL Awards and Tribute Artist Convention is returning to Las Vegas to celebrate celebrity impersonators at the Golden Nugget Hotel Casino.
Fans can get a photo with their favorite celebrity look-alike on the show's red carpet, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, then watch the Academy Awards spoof inside the Gordie Brown Theater at 7 p.m.
Lady Gaga, Whoopi Goldberg and Boy George tribute artists, among others, will be out-and-about in downtown Las Vegas the first part of the week. Some are playing nightly shows at the Fremont Street Experience, and others are hosting showcases inside the theater.
The convention is open to the public and takes place Tuesday and Wednesday at the casino, 129 East Fremont St., from 2 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Tickets for the awards show are $25, and tickets for the talent showcases are $13.50. Both can be purchased through the Golden Nugget Box Office at 866-946-5336. Performances at the Fremont Street Experience are free.
